During the Easter holidays chess fans will enjoy the GRENKE Chess Classic 2017. It will be held from 15th to 22nd April. The first three rounds take place in Karlsruhe alongside the Grenke Chess Open. After a rest day, the remaining four rounds are played in Baden-Baden.

We are eager to see the fight of Magnus Carlsen with three Top Ten players: Caruana, Vachier-Lagrave and Aronian and at the same time we are curious about the play of Hou Yifan, Matthias Blübaum, Georg Meier and Arkadij Naiditsch who were so close to winning in 2015 Grenke Chess Classic.

If players are tied for first place a rapid play-off will take place.
