53rd Biel Grandmaster Tournament 2020

The 53rd edition of Biel Grandmaster Tournament 2020 takes place from 19 to 29 July 2020 in Biel, Switzerland. This is the main event of the festival ("Grandmaster Tournament"). It is an eight-player round-robin with GM Pentala Harikrishna, GM Radoslaw Wojtaszek, GM David Anton Guijarro, GM Michael Adams, GM Salem Saleh, GM Romain Edouard, GM Noël Studer, and GM Vincent Keymer.


Schedule: 
On 19th 7 rounds of rapid are scheduled starting at 11:00 UTC. A win worth 2 points.
On 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th classical chess rounds are scheduled starting at 12:00 UTC each day. A win worth 4 points, draw 1.5
On 25th 14 rounds of blitz are scheduled starting at 12:00 UTC.
On 26th 27th 28th classical chess rounds are scheduled starting at 12:00 UTC each day. A win worth 4 points, draw 1.5

Leon Young Talents 2020

Leon Young Talents 2020 is held on July 16, 17, and 18 2020 online on Chess.com. The event has a similar format to that of the Leon Masters 2020.
Some of the most promising rising stars of the chess world will compete in this event, which  Andrey Esipenko; Alexey Sarana; Nodirbek Abdusattorov; Nihal Sarin. Two semifinals are played on July 16 and 17, whereas the superfinal takes place on July 18. 
Each match will consist of four games with a time control of 20 minutes plus 10 seconds increment after every move.

Leon Chess Masters 2020

The Leon Chess Masters Tournament is held from 10th to 12th July 2020 online on Chess.com.The event includes a Masters tournament, an open blitz tournament, a simultaneous exhibition with 25 boards by the Cuban-born GM Leinier Dominguez, and a closed tournament.
Some of the competitors are: GM Leinier Dominguez (USA), FIDE rating 2758, GM Parham Maghsoodloo (Iran), FIDE rating 2676, GM Alexei Shirov (Spain), FIDE rating 2647, GM Jaime Santos (Spain), FIDE rating 2575
The winners of the two semifinals (on July 10 and on July 11) will face each other in the superfinal on July 12. 
The top seeds have the privilege of choosing their opponents for the semifinal. The colors for the first game will be determined by a drawing of lots taking place on July 9.

The time control for the four games is 20 minutes plus a 10-second increment after each move. In the case of a tie, two additional games of 5+3 will be played, and if the tie still remains, a final armaggedon game will decide the match in which colors will be assigned by chance.
