The FIDE World Cup 2017 is held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 3rd till 27th of September, 2017

In the 2017 FIDE World Chess Cup 28 players will take part in a series of knockout matches. Rounds are two games each, plus a tiebreak if necessary. Only the final is a match of four games (plus a possible tiebreak).
Time Limits
Standardplay: 90 minutes in 40 moves + ; 30 minutes all moves + ; 30 seconds for each move
starting from move 1
Play-Offs: two rapid games (25 min + 10 sec increment), then if necessary, two additional 10 + 10 games, two blitz games (5 + 3) and finally, if the tie persists, a single Armageddon game (5 minutes for White, 4 minutes for Black with draw odds.)
