The 29th edition of the Carlos Torre International is a 9-round Swiss open taking place from 14-19 December in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Slightly over 100 players participate in the tournament, including 20 Grandmasters.
Time control: the players receive 90 minutes for the entire game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. Draw offers are not allowed before move 25.
