Chinese Blitz Champion Yu Yangyi will take on 8-time Russian Champion Peter Svidler in a rapid and blitz match in Shenzhen, China from 12-14 June, 2018. 8 rapid games, which are worth two points for a win and 1 for a draw, are followed by 10 blitz games with normal scoring. The time control for the rapid chess is 10 minutes for all moves, with a 10-second increment from move 1. The blitz is 3 minutes for all moves, with a 2-second increment. If the scores are still tied a 6 vs. 5 Armageddon game will be played.
