The Latvian Women Chess Championship 2017 is held in Riga, Latvia from 5th till 10th of October 2017.
The main favorites in this tournament are Ilze Bērziņa (2245) and Inguna Erneste (2133). The prize fund is 2000 euros. The holder of the gold medal will be included in the Latvian team in the next year's World Chess Olympiad in Batumi.
