After the prising of the winners of Tournament A, on July 7, 2017, at 16:00, a 20-sided playing session was held with world champion Antoaneta Stefanova. It included 20 chess players. The second blitz chess tournament of the International Chess Week program, on 08 and 09 July 2017, with a prize pool of 1500 leva, was extremely controversial and prestigious. The Chess players played in 7 rounds of the Swiss system, controlling the game - 10 minutes of a contestant to the end of the game, adding 5 (five) seconds before each move played since the first. Two grandmasters and four international masters had to prove their class against the strongest young chess players in Plovdiv, Varna and Asenovgrad.
For the girls up to 14 years old, Yana Mateeva, six years old, won the cup and her first big international success. We believe that this is only the beginning of her winning series.
