Tomorrow starts the classic tournament of Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial 2014


Tomorrow starts the classic tournament of the Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial - Stage of Russian Chess Cup 2014. It is organised by the Russian Chess Federation, the Rostov Chess Federation and the city of Taganrog, Russia, 14-27 January 2014. It includes a rapid event (15-16th January) followed by a classic tournament (18-26th January 2014).

The tournament marks 76 years from the birth of the famous Russian arbiter Vladimir Dvorkovich who died in 2005. Vladimir Dvorkovich was an International Arbiter, member of FIDE Titles and Ratings Committee, Rules and Regulations Committee and CHIPS. He made an immense contribution to the Russian Chess as well as to the chess all over the World.
