Altibox Norway Chess is a 10-player round-robin tournament, held from 3-15 June in the Clarion Energy Hotel and Stavanger Concert Hall in Stavanger.
The event is featuring Magnus Carlsen and most of the top 10 players.
Time control: 100 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 61.
A win is worth 2 points. In case of a draw, which gives the players half a point, an Armageddon game follows, which is worth a point. In case of a tie for first at the end of the tournament a playoff will be played among all tied players.
