The Sevilla Open (XLIV Internacional Ciudad de Sevilla) is a 9-round Swiss open tournament, held from 11 to19 January 2019 in Sevilla, Spain. The tournament gathers about 300 players from more than 30 Spanish provinces and at least 27 nationalities, with the participation of the current champion of Spain, Salvador del Rio de Angelis; the Olympic José Carlos Ibarra Jerez; the Chinese champion Tingjie Lei and other Chinese masters such as Xiangyu Xu and Yi Xu.
