The Palma de Mallorca FIDE Grand Prix 2017 is is held in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands in Spain from 16th till 25th of November 2017. This is the last of the four events from the 2017 Grand Prix series. It follow’s the Sharjah Grand Prix in February, the Moscow Grand Prix in May and the Geneva Grand Prix in July. Each of the 24 players competing in the Grand Prix series must play in three of the four events. The players compete in a 9-round Swiss open. The top two players in it will qualify for the 2018 Candidates Tournament.
