Czech Extraliga 2017

The Czech Extraliga is held in Novy Bor, Czech Republic from 18th of November 2017 till 8th of April 2018.
It is a strong team competition in which take part the 2013 European Club Cup winners. Twelve teams compete in matches on eight boards, over eight rounds on four weekends. The league culminates in a final weekend of three rounds where all teams play together in one location followed by the closing ceremony held after the last round. Each match-winning team receives three points, while in case of a draw each team earns one point. The two teams finishing last are relegated to a lower league.

Time control: the players have 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with an additional 30-second increment from move one.
