The Budapest Spring Festival 2019 - International Chess Tournament and Festival Laszlo Szabo memorial, organised by the Budapest Chess Federation, is held from 9th to 17th April 2019 in Bálna Budapest Hungary.

Budapest Spring Festival 2019 is organized three groups with cca. 350 players.
The A- group contains cca. 150 players from 37 countries with 23 GMs. The best names are Nisipeanu (GER), Onischuk (UKR), Erdos (HUN), Ter-Sahakyan, (ARM), Markus (SRB), etc.
The first 40 boards of A-group will be broadcasted live
Schedule:
Rounds start at 4.30 PM, except 2nd round at 5.00 PM, and last round at 10.00 AM
Maximal accepted delay time is 45 minutes
System: 9 rounds Swiss system in three groups “A”, “B” and “C”
Time control: 90 minutes / 40 moves + 30 minutes with 30 sec increment from move 1
