The Lev Polugaevsky Memorial is a 9-round Swiss tournament taking place in Samara, Russia from July 10-18, 2018. The event is part of the Russia Cup series. Players have 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.

The tournament is named after the Belarusian International Grandmaster Lev Polugaevsky (1934 – 1995) born in Mogilev, in the former Soviet Union. A very strong chess players from the early 1960s until the late 1980s, as well as a distinguished author and chess theoretician.
