Memorial Kupreichik GM 2018

The tournament Memorial Kupreichik GM 2018  is held between June 21 and 24 2018  in the Sports Palace in Minsk, Belarus. The tournament will be held on a round-robin system in 11 rounds in accordance with the Chess Rules of FIDE and tournament rules. The winner of the tournament will get $ 400 for the first place.
Time control - 15 minutes per game with the addition of 10 seconds for each turn, starting with the first.

The tournament is organised by the Belarusian Chess Federation in memory of the international grandmaster Victor Kupreichik (1949-2017), strengthening of international sports relations of chess veterans and propaganding of chess art.

Victor Davidovich Kupreichik (1949-2017) was a Belarusian grandmaster, winnr of the Belarusian Chess Championship (1972, 2003), of the Wijk aan Zee Masters' tournament (1977), in Kirovakan (1978) (jointly), in Reykjavík 1980, in Plovdiv (1980), in Medina del Campo 1980 and Hastings International Chess Congress in (1981/82). In 2002 won the Group B of the Aeroflot Open. In 2010, he won the European Seniors’ Rapid Championship.
